Black truffles remain the ultimate gastronomic luxury and in the rarefied world of the three-star French restaurant it seems that truffles have to be included in almost every dish. STEPHANIE ALEXANDER, The Age Epicure, March 2007

- Orders must be placed before 4pm on Tuesday (in person or over the phone)
- Truffles available for collection from Friday morning
- $3 per gram with a minimum 50g order, payment required when ordering

Perhaps one of the world’s most expensive, and exciting, ingredients, black truffles have long been the realm of those fortunate enough to live close to their source on the European mainland, and those few people in Australia who could track down the few that came over here. Not anymore! Australian truffle producers are slowly coming on stream. Commercial winter crops being are produced in the Yarra Valley, Western Australia and Tasmania and becoming more readily available in Australia... and a lot more affordable. Open any number of cook books and the recipes involving truffles are endless, and always rewarding!

Randalls, in conjunction with a premium Australian truffle producer, are proud to be able to offer Australian Black Truffles on a weekly basis throughout the months of June to August. Shipped in minimum 50g orders, we will be making them available weekly... straight from the farm, retaining freshness and the uniquely powerful aromas. Please see below for a recipe that will get your taste buds going....

To order your black truffles call either Randall's Hawthorn on (03) 9818-6194 or Randall's Albert Park on (03) 9686-4122 before 4pm on Tuesday for pickup on the following Friday. There is a minimum 50 gram order and they are charged at $3 per gram (50g is enough for approximately 6 people)
