From a single vineyard, vines around 40 years old, grown in the dolcetto dress circle of Montelupo Albese. Taking dolcetto very seriously, indeed. It’s fermented in stainless steel, though there’s plenty of depth to this wine.
Moody, autumnal scents of dried leaves, briar, old rose petals, dark cherries. There’s some sniffs of dark chocolate and chestnut savouriness too. Chestnut puree texture, that touch of satisfying grit in smoothness. There’s freshness here, juicy fruitiness, earthiness and cranberry-like acidity to close. Good length, good flavour, good vibes. It’s a wine to pull a cork on anytime, with gusto. Shift it into your ‘something different and satisfying’ repertoire.
