It’s a multi-regional blend – Heathcote and Bendigo – of shiraz, but the regions are side-by-side, and the flavours complementary. I’ve sat on a glass of this for an hour or more this Friday afternoon, and I’ve been very pleased to make its acquaintance.
Truth is, it’s a wine of flavour and style. It tastes of blackberry and chicory, various spices and vanilla. What it’s characterized by though is its smoky, gunpowder-like character. And the dry, mentholy tannins. Complex, delicious and affordable - you can’t go wrong here. 94 Points CAMPBELL MATTINSON
We have been huge fans of the wines coming out of Adam Mark's winery for a long time, and as a result have featured these wines numerous times over the years. The current 2009 release is a beautiful example of just how good Bress's wines can be. This wine is packed full of ripe blackberry and plum flavours and aromas, with more subtle (but equally appealing) spice and vanilla oak backing up a stellar lineup. Soft tannins and great length finish up what is an excellent and incredibly affordable wine. The Randall's Team
The wine is tightly packed full of black fruit, spice, cloves, and plum. The oak characters are beautifully integrated into the wine, giving the wine structure and adding power, balance and a savoury richness. BRESS
