This is the entry-level cuvee and it has plenty of sapid, fresh blue-fruit appeal and a striking red/purple colour - really lively. Fragrant strawberries and wild red fruits leap from the glass, and it all arrives with a lively, juicy snap on the palate. Supple, light fluffy tannins and crunchy blue fruits to close. 91 points NICK STOCK, The Age Good Wines Guide 2012
Made from several parcels of fruit from the picturesque Cote de Brouilly, on bluestone infused soils, this 100% whole bunch ferment wine shows all the generosity that is expected from Gamay yet delivers a structured 'serious' wine. Juicy blueberry and red cherry characters with hints of violet and spring flowers, the palate displays soft, juicy, sweet, firmer than usual tannins for beaujolais, cherry notes and hints of spice in the background. A must for any lover of beaujolais and a step above many. The Randall's team.
