Saignee is a French term that refers to bleeding the juice off the freshly pressed grapes. In the case of this rose, juice if bleed from freshly crushed Pinot Noir before being barrel fermented and treated like a serious pinot noir. The resulting wine is an outstanding example of pinot rose. Salmon pink in colour, the wine is fresh and vibrant displaying strawberry and red cherry fruit characters with hints of savoury spice. The palate is dry and fine, with crisp, primary fruit, poised acidity and a light, easy going structure. One of the finest examples of pinot rose we have seen, this is a sure thing for the coming warmer months. The Randall's Team
