The colour is a brilliantly clear and bright crimson-purple, a hue that few of Australia's best can match. The bouquet has a fragrant cherry blossom aroma along with the first signs of the spice that will become more obvious as the wine develops over the next 10 years, and oh boy, does the palate have marvellous purity to its focus and length. 14% alc; screwcap; 96 points; drink to 2020; $65; James Halliday; The Weekend Australian
Fragrant, dark and pretty nose, with loads of spiced cherry, spice and game. Supple and elegant in the mouth with fine silky texture, ridiculously fine tannins, and flavour that resonates long after the wine has left you’re mouth. An amazing wine with incredible purity and freshness. MATT SKINNER
