"The 2010 basic Riesling trocken is really very, very strong in this vintage as well. No doubt this is due to the addition of afair bit of juice from some of the younger vines in limestone based vineyards that are normally reserved for higher bottlings, but which were blended down into the straight Trockenand von der Fels this year. The wine offers up an excellent bouquet of green apple, tangerine, a lovely base of soil, spring flowers and incipient notes of petrol. On the palate the wine isdeep, fullish, pure and dancing, with a lovely backend mineral drive, ripe acids and fine length and grip on the finish. This is stunning value!" 89+ points John Gilman, A View From The Cellar.
