The 2005 Pesquera Reserva is a bit muted aromatically but gives up aromas of mineral, scorched earth, and assorted black fruits. Reticent and austere on the palate, it will require 5-7 years of further cellaring to unwind but will never be a generous example of this wine. JAY MILLER
